ellie heywood (elettr) is an artist & designer from North West England. Her background lies in the fine arts and she graduated with a BA in Graphic Design in 2016. Since then her practice has evolved and currently centres around calligraphy and lettering. She's particularly interested in blackletter scripts, the form of letters and pushing their boundaries into abstraction. Projects include custom lettering, original calligraphy and mural design.  

She has worked with clients on both small and large scale projects, painting murals and signs in Leeds, York and Liverpool, as well as designing logos and creating custom lettering pieces for clients worldwide, from the USA to China to New Zealand. Sign writing and chalkboard art are a huge part of her repertoire; no job is too big or small. Happy to travel for work!
