APRIL T-SHIRT

Not much to say for this one except I mis-spoke one day and said Good Monday instead of Good Morning, and thought yeah I do love Mondays, they need more excitement around them. The design on the back is taken from the three irregular ‘o’s on the front.

a short project summary: in 2024 I’m creating one tee design a month, a single print run, giving me chance to experiment with lettering and illustration for clothing. 5% of profits will go to 12 different charities over the year. Each month, I’ll be celebrating a (visually) creative artist from the UK alongside the launch. 

This month’s artist is Roisin O’Donnell. Roisin is an illustrator based in Norwich. Previously known under the alias Steven Fritters, her energetic drawings are full of colour and evoke feelings of joy and comfort. She’s a lovely cat owner and you can see the inspiration from her feline friends in her illustrations.

I met Roisin in Leeds post-uni when we were both working at a local coffee shop in the city centre. Since then we’ve both taken the route of freelance design alongside part-time work, and Roisin moved to Norwich in 2021. She’s just completed an artist residency at Moosey in Norwich, where she created large scale oil paintings of her surrealist characters.
